What’s Blooming in Blairstown
March 2025
WHAT’S HAPPENING NOW
I am not sure who to credit for this image, but I feel like they had me in mind when they created it. We are gearing up for our 19th year flower farming this year and this picture says it all. We are bursting with enthusiasm to get going! We hope you will join our flower farming family if you haven’t already. You can find our flowers at our farm stand, our Flower Club and at our workshops. We also sell buckets of flowers for all your party needs. Find out all the details on our website.
ABOUT TO BLOOM
Pussy Willow!
We have a limited amount of Pussy Willow bunches ($10) available right now. They are sold on a self-serve basis in our milk house (first barn on the right when you pull into the driveway), we also have eggs ($5) available in the fridge. There is a sign above the door that says “Eggs.” You can make a purchase using cash or Venmo.
GARDENING TIP
Read all about it
I recently listened to this book by Doug Tallamy, professor of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Delaware. He advocates for home gardens and landscaping that use native plants to build healthy ecosystems. He has helped start a movement called “Homegrown National Park.” It is a movement to use native plants to support wildlife habitats. It is a truly fascinating book and the info. on the website is full of tips and ideas on how to build a garden / yard that is beautiful, healthy and supports wildlife. I highly recommend it!
See you at the farm!
